Art on four wheels. This 1954 CORVETTE ROADSTER comes with a desirable
color combination of BLACK with RED Interior. With 74,000 actual miles verified
by title. FRAME OFF restored with no miles. True California Black Plate car.
When the C1 first came out it was called the FIRST ALL-AMERICAN SPORTS CAR
and the EXPERIMENTAL DREAM CAR for FUN LOVING PEOPLE. This is the
design that started it all for Corvette lovers.

EXTERIOR This incredible Corvette has been off of the road for over 50 years.
The restoration process was started 20 years ago with a low mileage beautiful
1954 roadster body and has had no miles since. The car looks pristine. This is
the rarest color combination offered in 1954, Jet black with sportsman red
interior black canvas soft top. If this car was an original black car, it would be
one of four from the factory. There are no color codes on a 1954 Corvette, so
we can not prove it is. If we could, we would mark the car up 100k. This gorgeous
car was sanded to perfection, deep into the gelcoat and fiber glass to get the
body smooth enough to sport a new jet black mirror finish paint job, New bumpers,
New grill, New headlight covers and New side trim pieces were added and look amazing.

INTERIOR The cockpit is impeccable with the best colors. The Sportsman red
interior is gorgeous and looks as nice as in the pictures. The seats were done
professionally and have no wear. The red crowned white instrument panel is
stunning. The gauges are clean, crisp and are a work of art. The carpet is new,
the steering wheel is beautifully painted. The trunk was also restored and has
the correct tools in the travel bag. Spare and jack in the trunk.

MECHANICS Under the hood is a correct Blue Flame 150 high compression 6
cylinder valve-in head engine with three rebuilt side draft carburetors, shielded
ignition and dual exhaust system. The engine and the 2 speed power glide
transmission were rebuilt by the previous owner and have no miles since the
restoration, the engine and transmission were represented to us as correct for
the car. From what we could determine, the engine has a date code early 1955
and could be a replacement block for the experimental car or could have been
used very late in the year. The transmission with the correct side mounted
shifter and the rear end appear to be correct and original to the car with Hotchkiss
drive 3.55 to one gear ratio.

UNDERCARRIAGE The undercarriage is just as nice as the car with a spotless
correct X frame, with the correct rebuilt hydraulic 11 inch self energizing brake
system. Four leaf springs and direct double action shock absorbers. The car is
rolling on correct steel wheels, wide whites and brand new expensive correct
hubcaps. This is a rare find and we feel fortunate to have this beautiful Corvette
that inspired the first All American Sports Car.
