Car history:

1960 Corvette. This is an excellent driver and would be an easy restore to make a show car out of it. This car is mechanically perfect. The body is very good condition for its age but is not perfect. I have owned this car for about 6 years and a friend of mine owned it for 20 years before me. Has always been kept in garage. I am going to tell you as much as I honestly know about the car, good and bad. This car was drag raced in the 70's and unfortunately it did have a roll bar and the front of the rear wheel wells were shaved very slightly (see pics). The car was changed back over for street use and is a very good looking a reliable cruiser. The roll bar was uninstalled and there is about 1/4 inch of the roll bar still welded the the frame where it was cut off. Frame is not damaged I'm just letting you know what I know. Car is very solid underneath. Also the battery was relocated to the trunk. Included in the sale is the new battery tray from Corvette Central to but it back to original. Overall this is a great car and would be such an easy restoration to be perfect I just do not have the time. But I have enjoyed driving the car just the way it is for the past 6 years with no problems and plenty of thumbs up.

Mechanicals: It has a 283 small block chevy, bored .030 over, 202 heads, balanced and blue-printed, solid cam and lifters, roller rockers, 10.5:1 compression, electric fuel pump, msd ignition, edelbrock intake with Holley 650 duel feed double pumper. It has a 4-speed muncie transmission with heavy-duty clutch and blow-proof bell housing. The rear is a 4:11 full spool posi. Flowmaster duals. New BFG rubber and rear leaf springs are brand new. Sounds amazing. If wanted to but to absolute original, the friend that I got the car from has an original 1960 283 that could be bought.

Body: The body is in very good condition. Painted in it's original Honduras Maroon. There is a small crack under the drivers door. There is also a bent fender brace behind the passenger fender which makes the fender bump out in the middle of the wheel well (see pic). All moldings are the original stainless and in EXCELLENT condition. The only oftermarket chrome is the 2 fender flags. The only piece that would need replaced is there is a chip out of the bottom corner of the grille molding on the right side of the car. The removable fiberglass top is in good shape and included in the sale is the original rag top bows.

Interior: Interior is good. The seats and door panels are very nice. There are some gauges that were unfortunatly screwed into the dash. Included in the sale is a brand new dash pad (see pic) from Al Knoch Corvette. Carpet is in good shape. Headliner is nice on the removable hard top. Has no radio, and heater assemble is also gone. Car still has line locks from its racing days. Speedometer doesn't work. It did when I bought it so the odometer stopped at 73000 but I have only put about 1000 miles on the car.

Sorry I forgot to mention something. In the last picture you can see that the frame extension for the body mount has been cut. They are cut on both sides. They were cut out unfortunately long ago for drag racing headers. It was not rotted but was cut to accomodate the headers. I knew I was forgetting something and that was the reason I showed that picture.
