Car history: |
This 1953 Corvette was up for auction on EBAY on 6-22-002 by Kruse International. The listing stated: "We are proud to present the quintessential Corvette. There were only 300 built in 1953. This car is # 196 making it one of the earliest Corvettes available today. This car is currently on diplay in a museum of automobiles where it has been for the past 5 years. This car is all original. It is a numbers matching vehicle. It is obvious that this car has been pampered all of it's life. The seats are very good. The carpet has faded over the years, but remains completely intact . This early example still has its original AM radio." The car did not sell at a final bid of $48,700. Mileage was 96,570 miles. [ Gallery ]
