Car history: |
Previously owned by Marge Schott, owner of the Cincinnati Reds. Fully restored and recently listed for sale for $150,000.00.
08-20-03: From Bob Ebel, current owner via email: "My 1953 Corvette was originally owned by Marge Schott, owner of the Cincinnati Reds. It was given to her by her husband, who was the largest GM auto dealer in the state of Ohio. I purchased the car in 1959, and drove it until 1964. I then stored it in Cincinnati while I moved to Chicago. Many years later, I brought the car to Chicago and stored it for ten years. I then had D&A Corvette from southern Illinois restore it to its original condition . It has been featured at the Corvettefest at McCormick Place, Chicago. It now is on display and for sale at the Auto Gallery Museum in Sugar Grove Illinois."
