Vehicle Description
This is a very, very special car! It is the 141st Corvette of the 300 built in 1953. It is finished in Polo white with red interior and a black convertible top. It has factory matching numbers, and is in exceptional original condition. There are only 49,318 miles on the odometer. The original options include the heater and the signal seeking AM radio.

This exceptional car was not sold until 1960 as it was kept on a Chevrolet dealership showroom floor. It changed hands a couple of times in the 70s and 80s until 1985. The previous owner to the current, owned the car from 1985 to early 1999.

Without a doubt, 53s are among the most valuable collector cars of today and will only become more valuable. You must see this car. Pictures just do not do this car justice.

Vehicle Condition
Upon close examination you can see the fiberglass finish. The early Corvettes were hand made with fiberglass matting. You can see the mesh pattern of the original mats. Any restoration that smoothes this mesh pattern destroys its original appearance and value. This car has never been wrecked, nor any body panels replaced. The motor was freshened in 1982 and some minor touch-up paint-work has been done. The windshield, dash, gauges, steering wheel, and convertible top, are original and have never been replaced. The extremely hard to find original black, oilcloth window storage bags and side-curtains are there too.

Corvette experts have agreed that is one of the finest examples of an original 53 Corvette. This car has had exceptional care and storage.
