Up for sale at no reserve, a great opportunity for the Corvette collector. A reasonably priced, ready to enjoy matching #'s, high horse power Corvette with excellent ownership history. The previous owner preserved this car for the last 22 years. Enjoying it as a weekend fun car in nice weather only. Otherwise, kept safely in the garage with a fresh coat of wax on it. Well cared for mechanically as well, attending to any malfunctions right away to make sure it was 100% operational at all times. The previous owner took a lot of pride making sure that when it needed repair, it was repaired using correct replacement parts. Always using genuine Chevrolet NOS parts whenever possible instead of lesser quality after market replacement parts.

This car is equipped with a matching #'s 327/340hp engine that appears to have all correct stamping and date codes. The transmission is the original Muncie but a Hurst shifter replaced the original shifter years ago. This is the only non-original part that the previous owner preferred over the original t-style shifter. These original style shifters are readily available and are inexpensive if you would rather change the shifter back to original style. Otherwise the car has most of the correct markings, part numbers, etc.

This is a reliable old car that is quick to start every time and runs extremely well with no noises or hesitation. It feels very strong compared to most other 50's and early 60's Corvettes because it has the higher horsepower engine. It responds nicely to when you step on the gas. It seems to wake up in the mid rpm range, showing off the extra boost that the optional hi-performance engine offers. I usually like the original equipment on Corvettes but I do enjoy the feel of the Hurst shifter. The original style shifter is nice but this Hurst shifter feels a little better when driving because it is more of a heavy-duty design that in my opinion should have been offered as a factory option.

The suspension feels nice and tight. It doesn't pull or under steer like most of these older vettes can be prone to do. The brakes are the original drum design but stop the car firmly and in a straight line.

It has a white soft top and no hard top. It apparently did not come with one originally as it doesn't have the holes in the rear deck where they would be if it was originally equipped with an optional hard top.
