1954 Chevy Corvette - 1 of 4 ever made in black. This car was found last week stored in the Tampa Bay area. Body is in pretty solid shape with no holes or rust that I can see, everything is there and I am told its all original except a few small things like the fan and wires, even the windshield wipers are factory. BIG QUESTION= DOES THIS CAR RUN?? I am told by the past owner that when he put it in the storage it was driven in, over 4 years ago and has sat there not started or moved since then until we rolled it onto our flatbed. Motor and trans are #'s matching, all glass is there, all chrome is there. Floor boards seem fine as well as trunk pan. We wondered about the BLACK of this car and how we can find if its really one of the 4 made. Many collectors and corvette buffs told us how to check with a multi paint scrape and every place that we where told to check ended up with the same outcome! ITS A REAL BLACK CAR. It was painted over at some point black again. In the pictures you will see the inside top lip scrape under the hood and low and behold the factory black is under the top coat. If you are looking at this car and are interested in it then you know what this is. - NO I DON'T KNOW THE HISTORY. - NO I DO NOT HAVE THE ORIGINAL TITLE.
