This 1955 Corvette, # 96 of 700 produced, has been completely and meticulously restored to original. It has earned the Bloomington Gold award, the NCRS Top Flight award and the NCRS Performance Verification which was awarded in November 2004. Everything on this car works, and it is a dream to drive. There is nothing on this car that has not been restored to NCRS specifications. This is one of the most perfect examples of a CORRECT restoration that you will ever see. It was restored by the current and third owner, Steve Newsom, who is well respected for his knowledge in restoration of these early Corvettes. The car has the original 265cu in. motor. The top and interior were done by John Kennedy - the leading expert in early Corvette interiors. It also includes an after market hardtop which has been restored to new condition. The hardtop is a Plasticon top, and is painted Polo White with Sportsman Red headliner. The hardtop has not been on the car since the restoration, and has been living in my house, so it is in perfect condition, also. The car has all paperwork, including a copy of the original title dated from 1957. There is also a photo album documenting the restoration from beginning to end. No expense was spared in this restoration. I am offering this car now, but after it receives the Duntov award in July in Park City, UT, the price will be considerably higher. I am only selling this car because my garage is bursting at the seams.

All paperwork, photos of restoration and award certificates are included with the car.

There is no better 1955 Corvette out there. Come see it if you like, you won't be disappointed! Remember, this is the 50th anniversary of this car!
