Car history: |
I've owned this car since 1990. It was a nice driver with shiny paint but I was not happy with of all the underlying problems. The wiring was old and butchered, it had been wrecked on the right front corner buckling the frame and pushing the right front wheel back about .5 inch. I decided in January of 2001 that it was time to make the car right and began a complete disassembly which took one month. The restoration process has taken three years and is essentially complete except for a couple of minor things. Virtually every bolt and nut was replaced. Everything that could be restored was and what couldn't be restored was replaced with either NOS or reproduction parts. I'm very pleased with the results. It looks stock except I've mildly customized it like I would have in the 60's such as hood latches, hood support, trunk latches, deck lid latches have been chromed. If anyone wanted to take it back to NCRS standards, it would not be that big a project. |
