Car history:
Purchased 1n 1962 by my parents in Big Stone Gap, Virginia. Driven to Chesapeake, Virginia where it lived for 11 years. Driven daily by my Mom, (see photo). Occasionally drag raced by my Mom and Dad. I learned to drive in this car. Sold in 1973, to a man knocking at the door the day before Christmas. A few weeks later, I recognized the sound of the solid lifters & Fuel injection, looked up and saw the new owner, cruzing Mid City shopping center with a beautiful girl and my car.... Vowed and prayed that one day I would have it back. After years of searching, located "the old girl" in upstate Maryland. Gracious owner agreed to sell to me, because of my sentimental attachment, if I would find him another. Purchased, drove back to parents home in Chesapeake and handed the keys to Mom & Dad for a drive. Dad proved it would still lite up the tires. Photo history from the early 60's through today. Original title, Feature article in "Wheels" national newspaper syndicated column. Full Top Flight restoration in process. This "old girl" is home to stay.... Thanks to God and to all who have helped....
