This NON-MATCHING NUMBER Vette was frame-off restored by a nationally known Corvette Restorer less than 8,000 miles ago, and has been kept in near "Show" condition by an enthusiast-owner. This Vette will win trophies wherever you wish to drive to and proudly show it -- across town or across the country! Or just DRIVE! This is one Auction where the pictures don't do this car proper justice. Too much sun, snow and too gleaming a car! Much better in the flesh! Not one thing on this car is less than a "Nine". The overall paintwork is magnificent. The only "flaw" is on the right side of the hood where moisture under the paint produced a few barely noticeable, unbroken tiny "bubbles". That's being picky, picky, picky! And that's it for negatives! The chrome and trim are all like new, with absolutely no pitting or discoloration anywhere. All hardware looks and works as it should. As-new Goodyear Double Eagle whitewall radials will help keep this powerful beauty between the lines! The 1968 327 Corvette mill has been bored-out to 350 cubic inches, twin Carter Four Barrel carburetors sit atop a stock GM intake, dual exhaust with Stainless Steel mufflers -- it's all done beautifully! Whatever your destination, you'll get there fast accompanied by the muted burbling music from the tailpipes! The ignition shielding is all there, and the engine bay is gorgeous. The close-ratio four-speed manual transmission shifts perfectly. Mechanically, this car is new both inside and out and an absolute joy to drive and behold. The undercarriage looks as if this Corvette had never left the showroom in 47 years!!! The interior is also in keeping with the overall high level of restoration. The upholstery, carpets, carpeted logo mats and rubber logo mats are all Red and all flawless! The trim, instruments and controls all work as nicely as they look! The stock AM Wonderbar Radio will still provide period-correct audio! The Hard Top has near-perfect plexiglass rear and 1/4 windows, the headliner and stainless trim are showroom fine! Don't get us started on the trunk! You'd like to just wedge yourself in there and drop the lid over you ... it's that nice!!! The Jack, Lug Wrench and Jack Crank are all as new as well.
