Car history:
My Dad owned a 1960 Corvette in the early 1970s witch helped him get the attention of my Mom, soon after get got married and realized they only had enough money for one car and my Mom didn't know how to drive a manual. So the Corvette was sold. Fast forward to 1998 my Dad had become somewhat of a gambler and enjoyed the chase of jackpots and prizes. The prize the caught my Dads eye at the casino was a 1960 Corvette that was the grand prize in a Blackjack tournament. He always wanted to get (his) 1960 Corvette back and saw his opportunity.

After a few weeks of playing Blackjack get won the grand prize Corvette in a big ceremony at the casino. Once the excitement of the day wore off and we got the Corvette home we realized that the Corvette looked like it had a lot of deferred maintenance that needed to be done. Luckily the Corvette fell into my Dad and mine hands, as knew how to restore a car, where we spent the next 2 years doing a lot of that differed maintenance and taking it to car shows.

My dad was able to track down the previous owner to a man in Oregon who owned the car for about 15 years who didn't drive it very much and left it in his literal barn with a few other classic cars he owned. He decided to sell it at an auction and this is where it was purchased by the casino as is.

I moved away for college where I came to find out I was the driving force to drive and show off the Corvette and my Dad still enjoyed the chase of the grand prizes rather then the maintenance of the Corvette. The Corvette ended up getting parked and stowed away for 17 years. After my dad got sick in 2019 I took car back to my home to get it drivable again, a lot of the same deferred maintenance that was done 21 years prior. My dad unfortunately never made a full recovery and passed in April 2022 and this is when the title was transferred into my name.
