58 DUAL 4 POWERGLIDE 2 TOPS SIGNET RED WHITE COVES CHARCOAL INTERIOR... Believed to be the orig. drivetrain, as you know 58's do not have the vin#s on the block but the dates on the block match up with the build date of the car, and the block is stamped DJ which means dual 4s, powerglide 245 horse and the car also has a hi rpm 245 horse tach. # on the pad - F1227 DJ , means Dec.27,1957 # on casting drivers side 3756519 , 58 corvette # on suffix pass.side motor assembly date 1220 , means Dec.20 block was casted on Dec 20 and assembled on Dec 27 7 days apart they must of took a few days of for Christmas. DO YOUR OWN HOMEWORK, MINE TELLS ME THAT IT SHOULD BE THE ORIG MOTOR. Now for the condition of the car. Well it is a nice older restoration driver quality car. Runs,rides and shifts great. Pretty nice interior and decent chrome and stainless. The paint is old but still shows ok. The frame and undercarriage is very nice no rust or previous repair.
