For sale:
THIS 1958 CORVETTE PROJECT CAR APPEARS TO HAVE BEEN A HI PERFORMANCE MODEL BECAUSE OF THE HIGH RPM TACH. (even though the guages are not 58's)IT DOES HAVE A NICE STEERING WHEEL, AND HARD TOP AND IT HAS POWER WINDOWS. IT ALSO COMES WITH NEW REPRODUCTION TRUNK LID STRAPS(THEY ARE NEW AND NEED TO BE CHROMED AND DRILLED). THE BODY APPEARS TO BE IN GOOD SHAPE. THERE IS NO ENGINE OR TRANNY.
Later for sale via e-bay:
This is a 1958 corvette with a hard top only. It was suggested that it could have been a FI car because of the high RPM tach and a firewall hole, I don’t know how to prove it. The car is in primer. It is not a matching number car, the motor is a 64’ 283 cu in with a rebuilt 600 cfm Edlebrock carb, new fuel pump, voltage regulator, clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing, hoses, coil, and plugs & wires, t-stat, new motor mounts. 4 speed trans with new Hurst shifter. NOS hood release cable assembly, rebuilt male and female hood latches. The exhaust system is all good. The front pipes are new and the rest is close to new and still has tags on most of it. New Delco Battery New Delco starter The generator is rebuilt and has a new tach cable. The dash and front wiring harness were untapped and checked for fried wires which none were found and re-taped. New turn signal wiring and switch. The fuel tank, sending unit, filler neck, cap are all new. New drive shaft universals front and rear. Rebuilt master cylinder and new rear wheel cylinders. The frame is an absolute diamond with no rust or repairs. The rear tires are 90 o/o and the fronts are choppy. All the chrome is vintage with the front bumpers rusty, not rotted. The cove and top fender moldings are very presentable and some of the pieces are new. New doors, ignition and trunk locks keyed alike. The interior has a new dash pad, new door panels (not installed and come with garnish molding), new carpets. The seats, frames and tracks are very nice. There is no headliner. The speaker is new and I don’t know if the radio works. There is no antenna. The windows are power but need work. The driver glass is cracked and the power motor did not move when jumped out. The passenger’s glass is not broke and the motor worked when jumped out as longs as you helped by pulling up on the window. Both sidetracks will need cleaning and adjusting. The wiper arms and blades are NOS Trico. The lights all work except the interior and trunk courtesy lights. |
