Engine details: In 1960 on February 29th, “Leap Year”, Mr. Garrett Morell took delivery of his 1960 Corvette. According to the second owner, Mr. Morell wanted to have a true race car. With this in mind he ordered:

HEAVY DUTY BRAKES (One of the original 119 in 1960 ordered with this option)

FUEL INJECTION

RADIO DELETE

He said that a true race car should not have a radio!

Mr. Morell instantly had trouble stopping his new “race car” when the brakes were cold so he quickly returned to the dealership to have the Heavy Duty brakes removed and standard brakes installed. This car still retains the very rare VENTED BACKING PLATES and the original BIG BRAKE WHEEL CYLINDERS. The car is missing the finned drums and metallic brake shoes.

In its lifetime this corvette has only been driven a total of 31,000+ miles by just 2 owners and has only one repaint to take away from its originality. This is a true low mileage, unmolested example of an extremely rare optioned Corvette.

PAINT AND BODY - The car was repainted several years ago and it is in need of a fresh paint job.

ENGINE AND TRANS - Both the engine and the trans are original to the car and they are both in very good working order

UNDERCARRIAGE - With the exception of the new exhaust it is very original underneath

INTERIOR - The interior is very original with tear in the dash (pics) and the carpet is sun faded.
