Here is an exceptional 1958 Corvette convertible that needs and definitely deserves a gorgeous restoration. It has the Hardtop only option and it is a 4 speed car. I purchased it as being a one family owned car from right here in Arizona. The prior owners' wife inherited it from her grandfather who supposedly bought it new. To my knowledge, it has always been an Arizona car and it has been in indoor storage the past 15 years in Sun City, Arizona. The frame is rock solid and is as rust free as you would expect a California car to be!
It runs and drives great and presently has a later model small block and Muncie 4 speed transmission in place. The Tachometer is an 8000 RPM, 6500 Red Line Tachometer which would indicate that the car would have originally had a high performance and high lift cam engine, namely a Dual Quad or Fuel Injected engine. The car is very complete with the correct gauges, the correct hood and deck lid with chrome strips and the correct hubcaps. It is a hardtop only car and never had a soft top. The radio is not correct and the shifter is from a later model Corvette. The chrome is all very nice and the glass is in good shape. The hardtop rear window has a small crack
