| Car history: |
| Just one owner from 1959 - late 2015 (Bob from LA-California) I was able to find his address in the white pages and contact Bob by writing a Paper Letter... and he was still able to tell me the car history (by E-Mail). Everything on the car ist still original, exept the carpets, seat covers and maybe some insignificant parts. Bob overhauled the original 283 engine block, starting that work in 64. From then in the meanwhile he placed a 327cui and only in september 2015 he put back the original 283 engine (now 292 with Duntow 30/30 cam) also got overhauled Heads(now with hard seats for unlead fuel) and drove the car for only about 100 miles before selling it. The engine now has arround 300 hp according dyna shop data output in 2015. Bob sold the car to Valley Auto. From there the Vette found the way to the Netherlands in 2016 where it was parked in a Hall (Geevers Classic Car) and in spring 2018 to me in Zurich-Switzerland. Currently I am restoring the car step by step. When I bought it, it was in quite good and drivable conditions, but still needed some works to get the street license in Switzerland. The car is beeing restored and painted, everything by using only the correct parts. The restauration has been made step by step and paint work has been completed in May 2022. More restauration until 2024 for more than 100'000.- in total! |
