| Car history: |
1958 Chevrolet Corvette convertible with hardtop. Good project car. The vehicle was acquired from a family member's (sister) estate and has a good title. It performed well at the time it was retired. It was retired to "freshen" and restore. Photos depict car before it was dismantled to restore, organized. Car is in dry storage in Woodstock, Georgia. ODO 69,490 VIN#J58S 107981 (June 1958) 1965 engine (#37858 VO167HK) is naturally aspirated, 365HP, manual, a/c 4-speed transmission All mechanicals are in place. Mechanical alterations include: after-market shifter, "heavy" operating clutch, scatter shield, ladder bars, front coils shortened The body is sound (original color marked "Ivory") with small repair to left-front fender, and some front end baffles removed. There is no grill-bar assembly. A sound but non-aesthetic small repair was made to the left-front fender. Hardtop believed to be a 1957 model. Interior not original to model. Top fabric was incorrectly installed, interior fabric was discarded, bright work needed refinishing and remaining exterior trim removed and stored. My sister acquired this vehicle from the son of a Ford dealer.
