Car history:
This car presents a very rare and beautiful combination of color and performance
options. It is rare in that it is a 283 cubic inch/283 horsepower car combined with
a working power convertible top, 4 speed transmission as well as a heater and radio.
Most of the high horse cars were raced and very few of them had power convertible
tops. For the most part they didn't have radios or heaters either. The Arctic Blue
color with Metallic Silver coves and cream interior is very rare as well. Of the 6,336
Corvettes produced only 713 had a 283 horsepower engine, only 664 were four
speeds, only 1,336 had power convertible tops, and only 487 were Arctic Blue.

The 1957 283/283 Corvette was one of the first production line cars in the United
States that had horsepower that met or exceeded its corresponding number of
cubic inches. The 1957 Corvette has become one of, if not the most, collectible
Corvettes ever produced. It is in very good condition, would do great at any local
or regional car show and would not look out of place at a national show. The paint
is in excellent condition with NO rock chips or cracks. It runs and drives great and
has no known issues. I reserve the right to end this auction early as I have it
advertised in other locations. Feel free to message me with reasonable offers. I
have no problem with overseas buyers as I'm a serious collector and have shipped
cars out of the country before. Price: US $79,900.00
