My father, Ken Tholin, purchased the car in 1971 and it has been in our family ever since. I have traced all of the previous owners and have spoken to two of them. The second owner raced it in autocross in the late 50s and early 60s and has given me several of his trophies. He made most of the modifications including the 283, Fuel injection and four speed transmission.
I started a frame on restoration four years ago and recently finished, keeping it as period correct as I could with the racing equipment. |
