1960 C-1 Corvette Convertible, 2 Tops This 1960 convertible is absolutely a head turner. The impressive double headlights and chromed grill easily identifies this classic. The Ermine White exterior is a stark contrast to the rich red interior. The restoration of this car is fabulous. The details of the matching red interior, the new soft top and hardware, the rubber mat and jack stickers in the trunk show extremely well. The car paint is beautiful as is the deep shine on all the chrome. The tires and wheels are correct for this car. The mileage is unknown but this car looks like is has been respected and well maintained. The 1960 Corvette convertible was featured in the CBS series Route 66 from 1960 to 1964. This beautiful desin, coupled with powerful engines and unique fiberglass body made this an icon in the 50s and 60s for the generation that created rock and roll. Chevrolet raced the Corvette at a world class level and finished 8th overall at the 24hrs of LeMans. They also beat Ferrari in the US, Sports Car Club of America, Class B Production, series. The 1960 C-1 was the last to have taillights formed into the curved rear fenders. In 1960 Corvette had a rear anti-sway bar added to improve the handling of the solid rear axle. This was the first year that Corvette production reached over 10,000 units.
