| Car history: |
This Corvette has been stored in my shed for 15 years. It is not a project for the faint of heart. Do not bid unless you are an expert in fiberglass repair and have a lot of spare time on your hands. Almost every panel has a crack or some form of amateur repair. There are a lot of replacement fiberglass parts but it will require skill and expertise to put this car on the road again. The frame has some surface rust but appears solid everywhere but the rear crossmember at the body mount. (I'm told this is common and Crane's sells new crossmembers for ~$400.) The seats, windshield frame, doors, windows, books, and speedometer are included. There is no engine, transmission, driveshaft, gauges, or top. There are some trim pieces and other spare parts as shown in the photos. I am not interested in parting out this car. I will consider trading up or down for a GM-powered hot rod, muscle car, convertible, or cruiser if it runs good and can be driven regularly. No more projects. The vehicle is available for inspection near Houston, Texas. Please look carefully at the California pink slip with the NY Vehicle Identification Number plate. (See yellow arrows in the pictures.) I did not find the VIN located on the frame where the Noland Adams book says it should be. You are welcome to come look for the VIN. I have previously obtained a title for my '49 GMC with similar circumstances but it took a little legwork. I'm happy to answer any questions to the best of my ability at: (281)-244-2220 or by e-mail. Thanks, Rick
