| This car is an all original mechanical car #VE55S001322. Most of everything was there when I started this resto. I have history information verifiable back to 1959. I know the car was originally sold by Cole Chevrolet in Port Jefferson, Long Island. I believe I'm the 4th owner but I was told by the previous owner that he was the second. This car was crashed in 1959 and poorly repaired. The previous owner had this car sitting around for 30 years before selling it. The owner before him started toying with this car in 1963 and never did anything except disassemble and collect parts. Remarkably original. I am finished. Am waiting for an original hood support, convertible top install and side curtain restoration to be complete. Other than that it's NCRS ready. Runs great and rides tight. I like the look of the spoke wheels. Of course for judging I have original rims and caps. |
