| Via email by Mr. Whitehead: "Found #55 in an alley in 1971, This car was being set up for a 426 hemi for the drag strip. It was in terrible condition, no rag top but it did have the Plasticon hardtop. Restoration was complete in 1979 and won many 1st place awards. I have owned #55 since 1971. I finished the restoration in 1979. My wife and I traveled from coast to coast finding parts, We've won a number of 1st place awards while we actually drive the car. Approx. 10,000 miles have been put on the car since the restoration."
