I must be crazy. A no reserve auction, with a low starting bid of just $32,500. Somebody's going to get lucky on this deal!!!!! Here we have a real nice 1961 Corvette convertible. Jewel Blue, with a black interior. This is not an original matching numbers car, but a very well built driver. Comes with a non-matching number 350ci small block with a 4 speed Muncie trans, complete with Hurst shifter. Motor runs solid, trans shifts great, and clutch feels very strong. Still has the original 3.70 rear. Car was originally Honduras Maroon, but repainted to an original 1961 color that it is today. Paint is great shape for its age, just not show quality. Body is in excellent shape. Doors, hood, and trunk line up very nice and operate easily. Check out that 1960s mini hood scoop that is period correct for its age. Chrome and stainless trim are all in very presentable condition. Interior is all stock, and all gages work properly. Has aftermarket radio installed, but dash was not cut. Could easily change back to wonder-bar radio if desired. Has original antenna, seats, door panels, ect. Convertible top is in great shape, just needs a good cleaning. Rear window is perfect. Frame is very solid with minimal surface rust. Body and frame seem to have never been hit. Bring your knowledgable Vette buddy and have him take a look. He'll be impressed with the condition of the body and frame. Tires are newer radials in great shape, and correct hubcaps shine like new.
