For sale via e-Bay:
Previous Buyer backed out but paid all my ebay fees so all I was out was time, so I am relisting again. This auction is NO RESERVE WITH A STARTING BID OF $6,500. This auction is for 1961 Corvette Parts/Project. This corvette would be a cheap start for one of those retro-rod projects, or put it back to stock, at this point you can do just about anything you want! It has a GOOD SOLID RUST FREE FRAME ( just minor surface rust), and is a roller, There is NO visable V.I.N. stamp on the frame and is sold that way. It has front and rear suspensions and moves around just fine. Someone cut off one of the rear factory traction bar mounting brackets that came on 61 & 62 corvette frames. The Main Body is in two pieces (cut in half, an old wrecking yard trick, smart huh.) So the body will need to be fiberglassed back together. I clamped the front fiberglass together for the pictures , but it will need to be bonded to the body also. These corvette parts / project has no engine transmission or tops, basicly just a body and rolling frame with steering column. Comes with an original 1961 corvette steering column with an original 1961 corvette V.I.N. tag. This steering column came out of a 61 corvette that was parted out many years ago. The number on the tag is # 10867S104173 There is NO TITLE and this entire auction is sold as 1961 Corvette Parts with a bill of sale only. It's a rough old pile, but with finished reto-rods selling for between 95 to 120 thousand dollars, If you did most of the work yourself and put about 20 to 30 grand into this corvette, you could have a car thats worth 95 to 120 grand. NOT TO BAD. Or you could just keep it and enjoy. (Could look like a 1961 corvette and run and drive like a new C5 (2004) corvette.) (Now thats the best of both worlds!!!) Plus these old corvettes in stock form are going up in value on top of it. So you could go either way and still come out on top. I have to many parts/projects and someting has to go, These old corvette parts need to find a new home. |
