For sale via e-Bay:

1956 CORVETTE Serial Number E56S003983 This is a California car, off the road for 30 years, it was last registered in 1975. It needs a complete frame off restoration. I have approximately 95-98% of all the parts. In 1975 it was a running, driving car with a Chevy 327 and automatic. The previous owner had owned the car from 1969 to 2004, when I found it parked beside his home. The old engine and transmission have been removed and I have since acquired a complete 265 engine with correct #991 block with a correct 2x4 set-up with original air cleaners and a working Corvette 3 speed manual transmission. I was told the engine had been rebuilt and it has a new clutch. The engine set-up includes: starter, selonid, fuel pump, water pump, pulleys, tach drive generator (missing the tach unit), single point distributor, exhaust manifolds, thermostat housing, and fan. Virtually ready to re-install. Also included with the car: soft top frame, all correct gauges, original tach, most interior components, most chrome except grill teeth, period Chevy radio, and the glass is perfect. This was an original 2x4 with 3 speed car and its original colors were Aztec Copper and Beige. The car has many coats of paint and must be stripped. The enclosed pictures are a combination of what the car looked like before I started the stripping and disassembly process and what it looks like now. The car is about 75% stripped to bar glass and all the parts that have been removed are bagged with all connectors and tagged for easy restoration and re-assembly. Like any project car it is missing a few items: some stainless cove moldings, 3 hub caps, grill teeth, spare tire rim, jack and a number of small items. But I believe all major items are included, but all parts will need to be restored. This car deserves a full restoration and is very rare, only 3,467 produced and approximately 200 remaining. This is a late '56 produced the last month of production. The car is being sold in “AS IS” condition with no expressed or implied guarantees, which includes the originality of any part. Again, this is a project car that needs full restoration. Please email any questions, I will respond with full and accurate information. GOOD LUCK BIDDING The buyer is responsible for all transportation cost. I can assist in locating a hauler if needed. The car is located in California, near Oakland/San Francisco. I will only accept cashiers checks for this sale. I must receive a $ 5,000 Cashier Check as a Deposit within 5 days of close of auction. Full payment must be received within 30 days and before car will be shipped. Buyer will receive a copy of the title and a Bill of Sale. Viewing is available upon request.
