Car history:
1958 Chevrolet Corvette (MARCH 1958), with both hard and soft tops, 270 HP Dual Quad 283. 4 speed Cast Iron T-10, 3:70 Positraction Rearend, Snowcrest White with Inca Silver coves, Black interior. Body on restoration completed in 2005 (paint, chrome, mechanical rebuild, Interior, hardtop, tires, exhaust, wiring) included in recent restoration: Radiator and heater core rebuilt, wiper motor rebuilt, complete washer system, wiper transmissions refurbished, carbs rebuilt by Chicago Corvette, water pump rebuilt, Distributor rebuilt, wonderbar radio rebuilt, new antenna, clock works. Deluxe interior metal door panels and Kick Panels new, sill plates new, carpet new, Hardtop painted but weatherstripping not changed except for a new header weatherstrip. Brand new Al Knoch OEM White soft top with all new weatherstrip, BF Goodrich 6.70 x 15 bias-ply tires including a never on the ground spare in the trunk. Fuel tank and all lines are new. All new exhaust. All new brakes and King pins. This is a numbers matching engine car that I have been persistently restoring to close to like new condition for several years. Borg Warner T-10, 4 speed transmission rebuilt. The rear end has been completely rebuilt with all new positraction discs, bearings, seals and 3.70 ring and pinion gears. Orignal Guide T-3 lights. The paint is new and looks excellent (Snowcrest White/Inca Silver). The bumpers have been triple show plated, grille is excellent, head lamp bezels are new, Door handles, locks, cove spears are new or excellent. All stainless has been buffed to nearly new condition. The rear trunk spears are original with the right side professionally restored. Front eyebrows, parking/turm lamps, original Y-50 mirror, dash gauges, and right trunk spear have not been restored. Glass is all new but not date coded. The speedometer mileage indicates 61,476 but the actual mileage is unknown.
