For sale via e-Bay:

This auction is for a 1961 Corvette roaster, Hard Top only. This is not a numbers matching show car and the low reserve reflects that. This car has been a weekend driver for us for a number of years. It runs great and is a blast to drive. It gets a lot of attention at the local car clubs. My son is turning 16 and my wife feels it’s time for us and our car to part ways.

The previous owner installed a 1971 350 with a little extra horsepower. The engine runs tight and does not use oil. It has ceramic coated headers and new dual exhaust. He also installed a Muncie M-23 4-speed with a Hurst shifter, rally wheels and a 4:11 rear-end. I have replaced the brake cylinders and brakes, shocks, rear springs (And installed new bushings in the radius rods.), and a damaged chrome bar on the front end. I have also replaced the sun visors, grab bar cover, horn button, speaker (radio is not original), and heater core.

The car looks great from about 15 feet, and turns a lot of heads. I think it is ready for body and paint work. There are numerous very small cracks, and a thin longer crack on the driver’s side front fender. The paint is getting thin in spots. The chrome is worn but presentable, and some of the stainless needs reworked. There is also a 2.5 inch crack in rear window. I drilled it and it has not spread, but I took the hard top off and mounted it on my garage wall when I got it. We have kept the car garaged under a cover when not in use. If I was going to use it on a regular basis I would have a new rear window installed, and have the weather stripping replaced. The headliner is pretty clean.

In all, this car definitely shows some age but is still a respectable driver. I goes down the road nice and gets along fine just as it is.
