1960 Corvette. It has the 283ci / 270hp V8 with dual four-barrel carbs. If you have ever wanted to own one of the most beautiful Corvettes you will ever see, this is it! This car has been lovingly restored and is as nice as I can get it. There are very few flaws on this car and I am certain you will not find a nicer car anywhere (under $100,000). This car has never been judged by NCRS so I do not know how it would be judged. This I know: there are very few Corvettes this nice anywhere. This car has taken 1st place at the Concours d' Elegance twice, and is always the top pick at the Jackson Hole Rendezvous.
I have owned this car for the past several years. When I purchased the car it was documented to have 41,287 actual miles. I can not guarantee this mileage as correct, as all of the gauges in this car were "frozen" including the odometer when I purchased it. However, all of the gauges and clock have since been restored and work as they did the day this car drove off the showroom floor. I have only put 1100 miles on this car since I have owned it. Based on the overall condition of the car I feel that the stated mileage is correct.
The engine is NOT a numbers matching engine. It was replaced before I purchased it. It is a correct 283 / 270 HP engine with a 3 speed transmission.
All seals, hoses, clutch, brakes, exhaust and interior are new. This car sounds so good when it starts up, people look around to see what could be making that low, smooth rumble. And when the dual quads kick in, it sounds even better!
You can see from the photos that this car shines from every angle. All of the chrome sparkles and the paint is glossy. Bottom line: it is BEAUTIFUL in every way.
The only thing this car lacks is the "wonderbar" radio. The speaker is in the dash and works fine. |
