Car history:
For sale via e-Bay: Up for auction is this beautifully frame off restored 1961 Corvette Conv. with Tuxedo Black Paint, Sateen Silver Coves, and Red interior. The workmanship in this car is impressive with everything done back to it's original state. The body is in excellent condition with great lines and great fits. The doors, trunk, and hood all set nicely in place with good gaps and good fits. The paint is beautifully finished and on a scale of 1 to 10 I give it a 9. The chrome is in perfect condition all the way around setting off the paint and interior of this classic. The wheels have there correct hub caps for this year and it's correct B. F. Goodrich Silvertown wide white wall tires. If you pay close attention also to the interior of this car you'll notice that it's been fully restored back to its original state. The restorer even correctly restored the soft top compartment back to it's original look. The seat covers are new along with every other component of the interior. The gauges are very clear and easy to read also with it's original Wonder Bar Radio. The door panels are in flawless condition. Now to the engine compartment of this car. It is equipped with a number's matching 283ci, 270hp engine with two four barrel carburetors. Everything has beed restored or replaced new. There is nothing missing at all on this engine. The engine is backed up by a four speed transmission the works great with the engine. The rear axel is a limited slip rear end. The frame has been fully restored with all the chalk markings and stensil marks. There are no modifications or welded repairs done to this frame. The trunk compartment is complete even with it's spare tire instructions intact. The soft convertible top is new and is in perfect condition. There was nothing left undone and countless hours of restoration have been put into this classic. The best way to describe this car is Jam Up!! with alot of class. This is one of the finest examples of a 61 I've had the chance to drive and enjoy.
