1960 Corvette Roadster, Turquoise with White Coves, 283 / 290 hp Fuel Injected This is a beautiful and doubly-rare 1960 Corvette with the high horsepower 283 / 290 Fuel Injected motor. Of the 10,261 Corvetes built in 1960, only 759 came with this motor. The color is also rare Turquoise (1 of only 635) with white coves, black interior, white convertible top and optional hardtop. I don't know how many high hp cars were painted Turquoise, but based on how rare these two options are, there could not have been very many! Car has numbers matching motor, correct 3756519 casting number on block, and correct 1091 7017320 fuel injection unit. FI was just professionally restored and rebuilt. I bought this car in 2006 in the United Kingdom, where it received NCRS Second Flite award back in 2001. The judging sheets are available with the car. It has new carpeting, a new battery and a freshly rebuilt tach. Options include white wall tires, hardtop, two tone paint and 4-speed transmission. The car has minor pitting on the chrome, aftermarket radio, and chassis has not been restored or cleaned up. Odometer shows 85,000 but total mileage is unknown. That said, this is a gorgeous driver-quality Corvette that is always a crowd favorite. This car is being represented accurately, but will be sold as-is, where-is.
