Export Car: Non Export Car
Engine details: Non original engine / date code, or correct casting - original engine had been replaced sometime before my dad purchased the car with a 1964-67 Tonawanda NY foundry factory replacement 283 CI block but retained all the original components ( Distributor, manifolds, Carb(s), oil pan, etc.) . The Borg Trans had also been replaced with a Munci M21 close ratio 4- speed at some point but is fitted with an original type shifter.
Other details: 3rd Flight award 1999, score 78.2 , 2nd Flight award 2022 score , ALL original chrome and trim, very clean. This was NOT a body off restoration. Frame was cleaned and repainted. Shows very well and a real nice driver. RPO 686 brake shoes are no longer on the car. They were removed in the 1980's during a complete brake overhaul and are now standard service shoe brakes. I do possess the metallic brake shoes and springs plus an additional 3 N.O.S. sets w/ springs which came with the car. She sports Bias Ply tires, which currently are B.F. Goodrich 7.10 x 15 on the wide wheels. Wonder Bar Radio plays but the scanning feature is not operational.

Car history:
Family owned since 1978. Purchased by my late father from either the 1st or 2nd owner(s). Car had been off the road for a number of years. It was a dying fathers gift to his only child, and a stretch for a family with a low income. Sale price was about $2,800 / 3K . Reputed to have been used as a race car by a previous owner(s). Original paint scheme included two stripes down the hood. Car had a number of HD options either factory/dealer equipped or added by previous owner(s) , including 5 leaf rear springs ( removed ), RPO 276 wide wheel option , 4.11: 1 posi traction axle ratio and fast steering adaptor. The duel pulley fan belt with idler, & explosion proof bell housing were removed. Restored between 1980-1983 by myself, Car when purchased had abt. 18K original miles, little over 43K now. All original components were still in car then ( 1980) exhaust, shocks, springs, interior, etc. I took on the project as a 17 / 18 year old after my father passed away. All work except for the paint and dash pad were done by myself including rebuilding the replacement eng. I Don't think I did a bad job as a kid with limited knowledge and a very limited budget.. It was my primary transportation to and from High School for 2 years...and I left the church in it with my bride. It has been a big part of my life, and it will remain in the family now and hopefully passed on to one of my daughters. I have been a NCRS member for the past 38 years # 9448, and the S.A.C.C. Thanks for viewing . Be Well and Happy & Safe motoring to ALL!!
