| Engine details: |
Believed to be an original 1x4 car. Bob Dye added a FI system car and racing brakes (probably 1961 Big Brakes) in 1966 or so. Bob initially raced with a 327, but put in a 283 as required by SCCA racing rules. Wilson Swilley added an airbox to the car in mid 1980s. |
| Other details: |
As you would expect, this race car lacks a heater, radio, and various other creature comforts. The car races on the West Coast vintage race circuit. The car has appeared in several magazines, and was included in Michael Antonick's "Corvette - The Sensuous American" book series. |

| Car history: |
| Bob Dye raced the car in "B" Production SCCA events in California from 1967 to 1972. Wilson Swilley restored the car twice in the 1970s and 1980s. Wilson's second restoration job put the car back into the form as raced by Bob Dye. Wilson owned the car from 1975 to 1987. Frank Buck owned and raced the car from 1987 to 1992. Chip Miller owned the car from 1992 to 2000. Chip purchased the car to race on the east coast vintage racing circuit, but never did race the car. Chip sold the car to Ken Epsman in 2000. Ken raced the car in vintage races on the West Coast from 2000 to 2007. Ken won the 2002 Monterey Historic races driving the Bob Dye race car. |
