Car history:
We found this car at a dealer in Rainbow City, AL., we drove up from Tampa, FL to see the car. My wife, Debbie had a choice between the 1960 Corvette which was in rough shape, broken windshield, old paint, rough chrome, but ran nice, or a 1964 Corvette Coupe p/s, factory a/c, and automatic. Within 6 hours she picked the 1960. So, on our way back to FL. my wife drove the car for 700 miles I couldn't get her out of the car. It was the middle of July over 100 degrees no radio, we couldn't open the air vent, because it was sealed shut, the car had the hard top on, but she wouldn't get out till we made it home. We rechromed all of the chrome, new s/steel, new lacquer paint, new w/s, and the air vent works now (we call it our a/c when the vent is open) new tires and hub caps, and fixed the AM Wonderbar radio. We cruise every weekend to events and Sun-N-Fun club outings. We were invited, and displayed our 1960 Corvette at the 26th Annual FL Chapter Winter Regional Meet Heritage display, in Kissimmee, FL. Jan 22-25 2004. We love the car and show it all the time. James & Debra Ranahan
