Car history:
I am selling my father’s 1958 Corvette. It is a very nice daily driver with a 1977 ZR1 Corvette 350CID Jasper rebuild with mild step up cam. The new engine has about 5,000 miles on it. It also has 4 speed automatic transmission and Air Conditioning. The original # matching engine and transmission are available and are included in the price. Both were fully operational at the time of removal.

This car has both tops, the hard top and white soft top. My dad used the hard top exclusively. Pictures of the soft top were taken on a cold day, I hooked the latches but did not pull it tight, I would wait for a warm sunny day to do that. Optional equipment, power windows, Wunderbar radio both working. Known issues, the gas gauge does not work, I found a universal sender on the workbench so I assume that’s what my father thought it needed. The tachometer does not operate, I believe the fact that the cable drive from the back of the generator is missing will explain that.

I have driven it when I am in Emmaus PA where it is located at my father’s house. It does get up and go. I am located in Irvine CA . I am the executor for my father’s estate and can transfer the PA title which I do have.
I do know a little bit about the cars previous history. My father bought the car from Stoudt Corvettes in Reading PA in about 2002, at that time the original engine was in it, as was the 2 speed cast iron powerglide trans. He wanted to go faster and about 2 years later the 1977 ZR1 350 engine went in using the original dual Holley 4 barrel carbs and manifold, the 4 speed trans was also added at that time.
I found a book showing a frame off restoration of the car in 1993 and a Top Flight Award from the National Corvette Restorer’s Association. It looks like most of the work was done by Vette Dreams in Long Island. I also found the receipts for some of the work done at that time. It looks like the entire suspension was rebuilt at that time. The undercarrage of this car still looks good. The speedometer shows about 35,000 miles on it. I am very sure that it is not the first time around. With the frame off in 1993 my guess is that it is 135,000 or more. I cannot be sure. The Vin is J58S105757.
