It is as though Chevrolet hired back all the Talent and fired up the assembly line from 1955 and built this one car. This is the first year Corvette to ever recieve a V-8 power plant and what an engine they were. The all new 265 C.I. V-8's were awesome! Special high performance cam for the Corvettes, 4 bbl. carburetor, and dual exhaust made these little screamers in 1955! The purpose built power glide automatics were a perfect match for the power of the V-8 giving smooth shifts and fun performance. Seemed like you could do 80 mph in low gear! Jeff
