Car history:
This is our 1956 Corvette and probably our favorite. By paperwork, we are the third owner, but technically we are the fifth. The second and third owner were private collectors and never transferred the title into their names. The car was bought brand new April 24, 1956 by Richard Charlton of Scottsdale, AZ. He owned the vehicle until the mid 70's. Then it was purchased by Dick Ingle who showed the car in 1979 and it was judged a 98.0 car. Then the car was completely dismanteled in 1981 and inspected for authenticity, cleaned and re-assembled. Then it sat in his collection until 1995. It was advertised in Corvette trader. The ad said the following: 1956 Corvette, finest Corvette in the world, 98 point car, all original, all factory, dual quads, pw, p/top, auto.trans., all matching numbers, 1 owner, MSO, AZ, 37k actual miles. Then the third owner Larry Robinson bought the car and brought it from AZ to Boise, Idaho. We purchased the car from him in July of 2003. This car is as nice as any car you will find. This 56 was the 101'st made for this year making it an early 1956. It has some oddball quirks that you will not find on other 56's, like body color painted headlight bezels. All date codes are correct in everything from the windows to the mechanical to the distributor to the hoses. We also have the original title issued in 1956. The car has only 39382 original miles.
