Stunning 1956 Convertible Corvette Numbers Correct, very rare and original piece of Corvette history. This car has the gorgeous original color combination of Venetian Red with Shoreline Beige coves and Red interior. This car is equipped with a 265ci, 225 hp Engine with 2x4 carburetors and a 3 speed transmission. Again, this is a NUMBERS CORRECT car - the block is correct and dated properly (J156) and stamping (0402424F56GU). All factory correct type components including the heads, manifolds, generator, carburetors, master cylinder, transmission, air cleaners and spare jack. Only 22 cars were produced with the combination of options this car has - Wonderbar signal-searching AM radio, heater, courtesy lights, windshield wipers, parking brake alarm. Also included is a refinished hard top to match and new white soft top. Wide whitewall radials with less than 1,000 miles. Condition: Body-on restored including engine, transmission, paint and chrome with only about 3,000 miles on them. The frame and fiberglass are in excellent condition. The body seams and fit are excellent. The emblems have been replaced and are in excellent condition. The paint work is beautiful with only tiny chips and very minimal crazing. The trim is in very good condition. The interior upholstery and carpeting is in excellent condition as well. The gauges are all original and in excellent condition. The engine compartment is very original in appearance and in excellent condition. The car has received multiple awards including "Best of Show" and voted "King of Class" by the Governor of MS. This car has the original windshield washer bag with Trico cap, (VERY RARE), the original asbestos lined air cleaners, the original white shift knob and the correct thumb screw adjusted rear view mirror that differentiates this car from the '57. As an added touch, we installed a Secret Audio system with Alpine CD system (NO HOLES DRILLED). We also had an elaborate Security System installed. This car is a show winner through and through and a must have for any Corvette lover.
