Engine details: Date code and correct casting number, still retains original GM stamping for 1956 Belair Powerpak 265 V8. Correct intake and dual 4s, plus solid lifter cam. 100% rebuilt. 3 speed manual.
Other details: Personally signed on the dash by Zora Duntov. Multiple show winner including Meadow Brook Concours d'Elegance 1987. Mostly correct in all regards, richer shade of red than original Venetian (paint is over 20 years old and still in show condition). Runs and drives superbly.

Car history:
The history for this stunning 1956 Corvette is interesting and dates back to about 1977. Zora Duntov personally selected this car during the 1987 Meadow Brook event at which time the car was selected as one of the show winners. The car has also been displayed at various GM events including the Society of Automotive Engineers and official GM press events. Zora Duntov personally requested this 1956 to be displayed during some of those events side by side with some of GMs most prized automotive designs. Documentation includes signed letters of recognition from GM and SAE including a letter recognizing that Zora Duntov had signed the dash of the car plus a photo of him actually signing the car. Numerous newspaper articles, photos, magazine articles, ownership records, awards, ribbons, plaques and the coveted Meadow Brook trophy. A unique and very special documented history with the "Father of the Corvette."
