| Car history: |
This is a 1958 Corvette project car without engine or transmission. Could be restored or it would make a perfect foundation for a tube framed, C5 suspended street hot rod. Has clear title and VIN tag.
BODY: To start with, the body has every original panel that it left the factory with. It has been stripped inside and out so there is nothing to hide. The passenger side has had a mold made from it and is covered with a releasing agent which sands off easily. The only repaired area is the front lower panel, which is again broken and needs attention. Two of the body mounting areas need to be repaired. There is also a crack in the left rocker panel. Body is complete with door glass and regulators. There is no convertible top, hood, trunk spears, bumpers or bumper brackets with this car. The hard top is complete with the exception of a couple of moulding pieces. Gas tank and cover are in place. Radiator support is rotted. Any exterior chrome on this car should be considered to need attention. Body is not mounted to the frame. Original color was Regal Turquoise.
INTERIOR: Interior is apart. Seat frames, cushions and covers are complete and in great shape and could be used as is. Door panels need to be redone. Center compartment door and trim is intact as is deck lid stainless. Parking brake lever and cowl vent lever are there as are headlamp and ignition switches. Steering column and box is empty and there is no gauge cluster.
FRAME: Original, VIN matching frame is in generally good shape. It looks to have been sand blasted in the past so again there is no hidden damage. Engine and transmission mounts are missing. Front suspension is incomplete and is not installed in car. It needs springs, hubs, drums, brakes, etc. What is there is in good condition. Original F 11 8 rear end is stamped AH 617. Sold for $23,158.37 3/06
