| Engine details: |
Engine bay totally re-detailed for 2012 season after adding new oil pan, new water pump, NOS radio capacitors and restored 9 fin valve covers. Still looking for a few items...almost there. Over the winter of 2016 motor was pulled for total rebuild by local well known race shop. Even purchased a new Duntov 097 camshaft from Jeff Reade. Redid the 539 heads and installed the 975&976 manifolds I found at Carlisle last year with the correct oil pan, balancer and pulley. After attending the WNY NCRS Chapter Show with it, I decided Im going to do the numbers thing and get this car ready. It deserves it. |
| Other details: |
Probably a 3 speed new but has had a Oct. 57 B/W T-10 in it forever and just totally gone through in 2010. Believe it to be Dealer/Over the Counter install. An original shifter want s reinstalled also at that time. 2nd owner believes car was solid red, 2 tops, heater and possible radio delete. I removed Traction Bar bracketry from chassis during underbody detail winter of 2012. So, as I have known this not to be original, it was replaced with one recently rebuilt from our local tranny guru that happens to have came from a similar car many years ago. Even had original shifter too. AND now 1 less gear to shift. The 4 speed trans happened to be from an early 58 #WL2972 that I got some unexpected serious $$$ for. |

| Car history: |
| This car came in Canada in the summer of 1976 from Ohio. The registration # on the title document was 09035078. I don't have an Ohio plate #. The 1st Canadian owner was George Paskoe of Rexdale (Toronto) Ont. until he sold the car in Feb. of 1978. His family told me he didn't import the car but bought it from someone that did.. Photo from 2nd Cdn. Owner shows how car appeard in Street Race trim from Ohio in the 70's. After searching for the last 5 years with help from a fellow enthusiast on every available site, forum, newspaper and magazine ad, we found the step-son of whom we believe was the original owner. Dad, long passed was in the trucking business???, had 3 jobs at the same time, bought the stripper car new..no heater, radio, washers etc. from VV Cooke to go drag racing with as seen on a you a tube video from early days in Kentucty before going to Ohio. 2nd owner is believed to have owned Ohio Valley Dragstrip. Even after 50 years, you can't give up. Somebody knows something. Looking for a new home and another challenge. Well, on June 9-2017 this car finally got NCRS Judged Top Flight and also received Long Distance driven Award. It wasn't easy but I just had to do the numbers. My goal/dream on this car since 2009 has been accomplished. Time to go to another passionate owner. |
