Car history:
This is a 1958 Convertible in Signet Red with White Coves and Red interior with the 245 Horsepower 283 Cubic Inch V8 with dual 4 barrell carbs and a 4 speed manual transmission. It has the soft top and hard top and factory power windows which makes it a very rare car. According to the Corvette Black Book, only 649 58's built were optioned with power windows!!

First off, we believe this car to have 79k original miles. The Florida title says its accurate and everything about this car says its probably right. It is not a frame-off restored car, but rather a really nice original. It has been in this collection for about 10 or 11 years and the previous owner in Florida had the car for about the same length of time.

The condition of this car is great, it has absolutely beautiful paint that is just a couple years old. This car had original paint up until then. It went into storage and while under the cover developed some "blisters" in the paint that had to be addressed, so it was decided that painting the car was the best thing to do. It is its original Signet Red with White Coves. The top was replaced in the late 90's and is white in color. The interior is fantastic and needs nothing. It does have the rare power windows, 4 speed transmission and hardtop. The original Wonderbar radio has the correct cover plate, but is a more modern AM/FM unit behind. Cosmetically speaking, the car is probably a 8 to 9 out of ten with only minor pitting on some of the original chrome and rubber trim pieces that look original.

As for the mechanics of the car. It runs great. The carb's are not the original to the car, but have been rebuilt and tuned well. The engine block is casting number 3756519 which shows as being correct for a 58 283. The stamp on the front pad is very difficult to read and only some of the numbers are legible. The CT suffix stamp is clear which codes for the 283 cubic inch 245 horsepower dual quad motor with manual transmission. The suspension and engine compartment are clean and driver quality, but not what I'd call super detailed. Please take a look at the pictures. Again, this is more of an original car than restored.
