Car history:
For sale via e-Bay: This is a beautifully restored, ready for show 1962 Corvette. The restoration process was started about 15 years ago. It is one of the few restored Corvettes that is actually 100% original and the numbers match. Everything is original on the car down to the hose clamps in the engine. The engine, transmission and rear end were rebuilt about the same time and has less than 2000 miles on it. I only put on about 50 miles a year. I cruise it in our local cruise night and enter it into the annual car show as well. It always wins an award. The engine compartment is completely clean and has all of the original hose clamps and covers. When the car was restored it received one of the last replacement aluminum radiators before they were discontinued from Chevy. It also has the high performance, stock exhaust. The car is in wonderful working condition; you can start it up any day of the week and go out for a drive. The body is flawless and completely straight. There are no ripples or waves in the fiberglass body because it has always been garaged and kept out of the sun. It was painted about 8 years ago. The paint job has the classic white with red coves. This paint job was modeled after the Chevy race team. Also included but not pictured is the original hard top, painted perfectly at the same time as the rest of the body. All of the chrome of the car was sent out a couple years back and completely re-chromed, even double chromed. It is just as shiny, if not more, than the day it was driven off the lot. The wheels were also replaced with classic mag wheels to mimic the look of the Chevy race team. The original hubcaps are included with the purchase and are shown below in the pictures. They are perfect, no dents or scratches can be seen. I think that the car looks and drives better with the current wheels and tires but it is up to you. You can change it back to the original look. It even has the original license plate on it, front and rear plates. I put a little tag on the rear plate so that I could place the registration stickers on that and not the original license plate. The interior was also completely redone. The seats were recovered and look perfect. All of the weather stripping on the car is also in new and great condition, as you can see in the pictures. All of the hinges and door jams of the car are painted, look great, and work without squeaking or sticking. As seen from the pictures, there is nothing being covered up. The Wonder Bar radio is in perfect working condition. You can pick up those oldie stations great while cruising.
