Car history: |
Car was purchased from the El Paso, Texas auto auction by me in late 1969. It was purchased in April 1969 by Bobby G. Luke who, apparently, let it go back to the Bank of El Paso who, in turn, sent it to the auction where I bought it for $1600. Car had been run into a curb with the front left wheel which broke the steering. Car would only turn right. Drove it that way until I found a replacement steering column. Unfortunately, left the VIN tag on the old column and am still trying to get another. Drove car daily from 1969 through 1977 when I began restoration. Believe it or not, I am still in the process of a frame off restoration. |
