Car history:
Bought new by our next door neighbor in 1960. He wanted to trade it in for a new '62 but was unhappy with the dealer's trade in-offer. My father made him a slightly better offer and bought it from him in 1962 for $2000. He only drove it occasionally for the next 25 years. Never wrecked or raced. He did take off (and loose) the ignition shielding because it was such a pain to change the spark plugs and adjust the valve lash. I inherited the car after my father passed away, but I was living in Europe, so my brother kept the car in one of his climate controlled garages until I returned in 2000. I've put just a little over 10K miles since then.
