UPDATE CAR HISTORY (Jan 20, 2020)
Very few miles have been put on the car since the post below. Current odometer reads 70,355. Before I purchased the car, someone replaced the 1969 350/300hp engine with a proper 1962 340hp 327. The transmission is correct but needed rebuilt at time of purchase. I have since had it completely rebuilt and now it shifts perfect!

I got the original build sheet with the car. Below are the options:
923 SOLID RED
STD BLACK TRIM
470E CONVERT WHITE TOP
685B 4 SPD TRANSMISSION
102A SIGNAL SEEK RADIO
396A 340 HP CORVETTE V 8
675M POSITRACTION AXLE

The car is still in very nice overall condition. It will need repainted at some point as it has several visual imperfections but I do not think the car has ever been repainted.

I have done quite a bit of mechanical work and maintenance on the car. Cylinder heads reconditioned, new exhaust, original carb rebuilt, correct fuel pump, correct 2.5 exhaust manifolds reconditioned when heads were professionally serviced, new fuel system and brake work. The car has 4.11 gears which makes it a lot of fun to drive!

BELOW IS CAR HISTORY BEFORE CURRENT OWNER PURCHASED THE CAR (which I am preserving)
For sale via e-Bay:

Vehicle Description
1962 Corvette Convertible with a 350/300 HP 1969 new crate engine. Serial # 3970010, with approx 7500 miles on the engine. The car, I believe, has 68,200 actual miles. Runs strong and is fun to drive.

Transmission is excellent with new clutch installed 1500 miles ago. I have a copy of the original window sticker. Trunk interior is spotless with the original rubber pad. Original spare tire and tools are intact in the trunk. Paint is original, except for left front fender which was repaired at the seam with excellent match in paint color.

All instruments work, including the clock. All instrument faces are excellent. Radio and engine are not the original. Car was originally purchased in Buffalo, N. Y. and original owner traced the car to me. He had traded for a 65 Corvette. I am believed to be the fifth owner of the car. Frame is excellent with original body panels. Kept in climate controlled garage. There are no squeaks or rattles and drives like when it left the showroom. White convertible top, 4 speed transmission, positraction, Roman Red with new black interior which was installed two years ago. Original hub caps. T-3 headlights and original moldings and chrome are in excellent shape.

Vehicle Condition
Left front fender, when viewed from certain angles and light conditions, has a slight ripple affect in the paint. Chip along back of convertible top door and chip along front of trunk lid. Looks like someone tried to open both at one time. Also small chip at bottom of trunk lid emblem and two blemishes the size of an eraser top at right rear fender. Marginal pulling away of dash pad from under windshield on right and left side edges.
