Brief History: I purchased this car 15 months ago as a winter project but grew rather fond of it and decided to enjoy it through the summer and to complete all the improvements I had planned to make. When I purchased the car, it had been mostly completed as a restored muscle car but needed some TLC after sitting, covered, in a garage for four years. After too many small improvements to mention here, I added a new aluminum radiator and new Al Knoch soft top. The only problems I can think of with this car is it needs emergency brake cables and there are two places on the painted surface that could use some attention. A small spot on the passenger upper side door jamb where a end cap came loose and scratched it and a barely noticable surface crack below the lateral line to the rear of the RH rear wheel well. Could use a better horn(s), but I seldom use one anyway! The original clock doesn't work and I've never bothered to hook up the original Wonderbar radio to see if it works, as I had intended to replace it with a FM/CD player at some point. This is not a numbers matching $100,000 car, but it is one of the finest drivers I have seen anywhere and worth every bit of the reserve price. |
