Engine details: 283 small block 98 percent stock with a few custom details.
Other details: Exhaust runs underneath out the back end instead of through the rear bumper opening. Ordered 2 reflective door sill plates and cut them to fit the exhaust holes acting as a stylish safety reflector filling up the unsightly holes.

Car history:
I acquired this car as a restoration project in the summer of '76 as a 16 yr old sophomore/junior in HS. The previous owner jacked up the leaf springs and drag raced the car, blew up the engine and never put it back together. The car had 95 percent of the original parts, both tops, no engine or transmission, cobweb paint job with some primer and coated with 4 inches of dust- sat in the guys garage for a couple of years. I purchased it with my lawn mowing job money for $1200! After taking the paint down to the bare fiberglass, I found that it had never been hit in an accident-flawless body. I did a body off frame restoration in 1992-3 and it's been driven only 2650 fully documented miles in 26+ years.
