Car history:
My father bought it on 04/29/2011 from the annual corvette auction held in Kansas City. He was told that this car came from Chicago and was owned by a stock trader who was upside down with his investments and needed money as the market was doing poorly for the past couple years.

The prior owner was doing a wonderful restoration on the car but must have decided/needed to sell it quickly. They painted it red and didn't even tape off the wheel wells and underside. There is traces of red overspray on the black undercarriage and in parts of the wheel wells. I believe that the car was almost completely restored already when it was quickly made ready to sell.

The tires on it were made from around 1979. They held up but I changed them out right away when I inherited the car.

I'm sure that the prior owner really cherished this car as the restoration was fantastic - short of the quick red spray job to get it ready for the sale. If you happen upon this site and are looking up your old car, I would love to hear from you. Probably contract the site administrator to forward a message on to me. Thank you, Jim
